Capcom's part, it had long been rumors on the development and release of a new chapter in the saga of the world's most famous horror film. We're talking about Resident Evil 6. The new chapter will be released as confirmed by the same manufacturer, November 20, 2012 in Europe and will be followed two days later with the release in Japan. The game will be available for PS3, Xbox 360 and it was revealed that Capcom is also working on a version for Windows PC, which came out a little more later. This is confirmed by the official video that Capcom has launched as the first trailer of the game, which quickly propels us into it.

Set ten years after the end of Resident Evil 2, we see as two faces very familiar to fans of the saga: Leon S. Kennedy and Chris Redfield. Between China and America on this occasion we will have terrible fighting zombies, as well as interact with new characters, to try to end the threat of bioterrorism in place that is about to assume the world. While, in fact, the U.S. president wants to make known to the public what happened to Raccon City, on the other, in China, where Chris, you are experiencing a similar episode.

Among the features confirmed the presence of a cooperative multiplayer mode (very similar to that seen in Resident Evil 5) in addition to the classic single-player, and graphics that promises to enhance the horror side of this title.

One of the three protagonists of the new storyline will be Leon S. Kennedy, who, after saving the President's daughter in Resident Evil 4, seems to have developed a confidential relationship with the head of state, destined to end with a bullet in the face as possible in the first images of the trailer we see the president as saying , a little 'pale. But Leon is a real tough guy, wearing a jacket once again fashionable and performs a face hardened and scarred by time and for some strange reason reminds us so much beloved Sawyer on Lost. In this adventure Leon also has a new partner, the Helena Harper, an agent of the U.S. government definitely sexy whose role in the story is yet to be determined. The mission of Leon is not exactly clear: apparently a terrorist attack has changed the population of a village called Tall Oaks and then here we are again faced with a city of monsters in which a danger lurks behind every corner. It is clear that Capcom intends to re-create an ambiance of Raccoon City in Resident Evil 2, as shown by the signs of devastation and far from friendly people who persecute Leon and into the subway tunnels. Across the world, however, has a parallel storyline starring Chris Redfield, now a member of the BSAA (Bio-terrorism Security Assessment Alliance): our historic main character is a district in Hong Kong lit and wonderfully realistic, under the crossfire of curious enemies that may be masked terrorists who are hunting. Chris in the trailer seems to be disheartened by some event that may have played in this sequel to Resident Evil 5 and: where is Jill, one wonders? The will meet again in this new adventure or something happened? As we ask these questions, we are immediately overwhelmed by a few sequences involving two completely new characters on which we can only make assumptions: he is presented as a scarred mercenary English accent and the air that speaks of its real hard blood as if it were of vital importance to someone, she is a girl who accompanied him, taking care, and insisting that the world needs him. The rumors dare two names: Alex Wesker and Ashley Williams. One thing is virtually certain: these three arcs, seemingly unrelated, will eventually intersect with each other to finish the story with a roaring finale in which a horrific megamostro torpedoes will be knocked down in the face. From the narrative point of view Capcom has clearly decided to do things in style, offering a story more dynamic and detachment from the blatantly film that tells the story of several characters involved, after all, in the same battle. The choice of the location where the story takes place does not seem to be random: Tall Oaks certainly try to bring the series to its roots with more closed and restricted spaces, while the scenario in Hong Kong seems to give greater emphasis to the action scenes and guerrilla warfare, as evidenced by a glimpse of the trailer where we see Chris leans over by a tank. The aspirations of this sixth chapter seems short, huge, huge as is the development team which has at least one hundred fifty programmers and a staff of about six hundred people. The idea, however, is to create a link between the "old" Resident Evil, the original survival horror that has made us afraid of every shadow, and the "new" Resident Evil caciarone where most were facing hordes of enemies with machine guns and kung-fu. The concept of the new Resident Evil revolves around two key points: the fear of what can happen at any moment and the idea of ​​being overwhelmed by the enemy at any moment. Who played the first Resident Evil certainly remember some moments of sheer terror, skillfully taking advantage of situations and made shots, moments that have become increasingly rare as they undertook the series a whole new philosophy directed action, culminating in a Chapter five trigger-happy. Resident Evil 6 seems a return to the roots without disdaining the gameplay action-game from the last episodes, moreover emphasized by what appear brand new mechanics: towards the end of the trailer we can see Leon embark on a slide that resembles then turn to vanquish the enemies to the ground riddled with bullets, in another sequence, however, Chris runs to cover to hide from attacks un'orripilante creature with a style that reminds a lot of Gears of War.
